Updates and Photos From the Road

The first month of our crazy 3 month Fall tour is in the rear view mirror. It feels like it took a year on one hand, but also like a long weekend on the other hand. We're in motel rooms more than our own home now, and it's beginning to sink into a strange pattern of familiarity. When we are home, it feels like it's only a few hours before we're back out on the road. "Time flies when you're having fun" always made sense to me, but this is insane! Still though, we're loving it.

In the last couple of weeks we've been in Alabama, Florida and South Georgia. It's amazing the experiences you have when you take a leap like this.

- Thanks to the 5 guys that helped us push our van out of the mud (UPHILL!) in Fort Payne, AL.

- Thanks to Greg Shaddix and his friend for basically being the only people watching the show in Decatur, AL (and for opening the night!)

- Thanks to Jason in Jacksonville, FL. Who knew that simply tossing a coozie at a guy on a couch would take us down the rabbit hole and into a long night of after-hours VIP barhopping and street performances? (and who knew that Kate would see the Ocean for the first time in Jacksonville?)

- Thanks to Savannah, GA for being one of the most hauntingly beautiful towns on earth, and for not closing our favorite townie bars after our show. (we went to the ocean here as well)

- And a special thanks to Valdosta, GA and Ashley Street Station. We'll admit that we were a little reticent to play such a seemingly "sleepy" town. Turned out to be one of the best shows we've ever played!

Do whatever scares you, and you'll be shocked by the experiences you'll have, places you'll go, and things you'll see.

Free Album Reminder

Just a little reminder. We sent an email a few weeks ago, but our live album "Kate and Corey - Live at Good Ol Days" is still available for completely free. Just go to kateandcorey.com and click the red button that says "Free Download". That's all you have to do! It will come as a zip file. Just double click it wherever it was downloaded and save the files wherever you like.

It may not be studio quality, but we wanted an easy way to get a few of our newer songs to you. Feel free to share them with a ridiculously large amount of people.

Upcoming Tour Plans and Dates

So even though we're sacrificing quite a bit of "normalcy" and comfort to do what we're doing, we know that success is all about hard (and smart) work. We've been talking about it, and it looks like we may essentially be "always on tour" like a lot of the most successful bands of all time. It seems to be the best way to accomplish our goal of connecting in a real and personal way with people like you all over the place, and being able to come back time and time again to provide you with a new and meaningful experience. That's our "mission statement", I guess, and we thank you for sharing in our journey.

What does "always on tour" mean exactly? Well, we're not completely sure yet. But we have a few geographically disparate areas we want to find a way to connect together, so expect to see us sooner than you think :-)

The remainder of our 2013 tour dates are listed at kateandcorey.com/shows

If you know anyone near any of them, please share and ask them to attend. It would mean the world to us. And make sure they let us know you did so we can repay the favor somehow!

And with that, we're off to North Carolina to hang out with these weirdos:

We love you for real,
Kate and Corey
